Tax Analyst (Multinational)

Armont Recruitment have partnered with a leading multinational seeking an ambitious Tax Analyst with VAT experience to join their dynamic team based in north Dublin.

This business has rapidly expanded over the years through global development and is progressively expanding their European operations within Ireland.

The role will report to the Tax Manager, it will suit a candidate with over 2 years’ VAT experience within a multinational organisation looking to join a rapidly growing business.

The Role 

• Ensure accurate and timely preparation, completing and filing of VAT return and all compliance work
• Complete all payments are made in a timely manner
• Ensure all the relevant VAT Team controls are completely
• Reconcile the VAT accounts
• Manage errors and expectations to minimise the impact on financial result and avoid non – compliance penalties with Tax Authorities
• Manage any queries received by the statistical office in relation to the Intrastat declarations
• Get involved with ad hoc projects

The Candidate 

• 2+ years’ experience of working within multinational VAT/Tax position
• Strong understanding of VAT rules and basis accounting principles
• Strong attention to detail
• Proficient in MS Excel (vlookups, pivot tables, “if” function) and ERP systems
