Newly Qualified Chartered Accountant (ACA)
Armont Recruitment have partnered with a leading PLC seeking to hire a Newly Qualified Chartered Accountant (ACA) on a permanent basis. Based in Dublin this business offers a hybrid working set up and boasts a ‘finish on time’ and ‘no overtime culture’.
This role is a desirable blend of month end reporting and commercial accounting – making it an ideal opportunity as a first step into industry from practice.
The successful candidate will have trained in a Big 4 or Top 6 accountancy firm as a Chartered Accountant and will have gained experience within industry audit.
The Role
- Full ownership of month end accounts preparation and balance sheet reporting for a key entity – full entity ownership!
- Review costs for entity and assist with budgeting & forecasting with local cost centre owners
- Preparation of month end management reporting via PowerPoint
- Maintenance of fixed asset register and capex approval process
- Review and submission of tax returns prepared by part qualified accountant
- Year-end reporting including tax pack preparation as well as liaising with auditors in group and statutory audit
- Assist in improving ERP reporting
- Ongoing internal control implementation, review and improvements
- IFRS statutory accounts preparation
- Other ad hoc finance project work as required
The Candidate
- Newly qualified or recently qualified Chartered Accountant (ACA) – 0-to-1-year PQE
- Strong academic record
- 3 years + practice experience from Big 4 or Top 6 firm
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and to tight deadlines
- Ability to work on own initiative and multitask
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Strong attention to detail
- Proficient in MS Excel, Word & PowerPoint
